Our session will be
-
Personalized
The most important thing in psychotherapy is for the client to find a therapist they feel a connection with. So, we will start with an initial session for you to get a feel for whether we might be the right fit for you.
-
Collaborative
Inevitably what we seek is within us. We will work together, exploring and discovering more about what you’re bringing. I see my role as holding space for you to connect more deeply to yourself, and to provide guidance that may offer clarity or more understanding around what’s happening.
-
Integrative
Each person is unique and the human experience is nuanced and dynamic. So, I draw from many approaches in my work with clients depending on what each individual needs and responds to. These include psychodynamic psychotherapy, embodiment, CBT, gestalt, humanistic and transpersonal psychotherapy.

FAQs
What should I expect from my first session?
A first therapy session is a chance for us to meet and explore the possibility of working together. You will have a chance to describe what is bringing you to therapy and what your goals for the work might be. I will ask you about your background, family and current life circumstances for a full picture of you as a person. You can ask any questions you have and see if it feels like I might be someone you would be comfortable working with.
This is a regular therapy session in most ways - what we discuss is strictly confidential, the session will be 50 minutes long and the session fee of €80 is charged.
How long does therapy take?
This is extremely personal, and it’s impossible to make a general statement about it. The foundation of therapy is a trusting relationship, and this can take time to build.
Some research indicates the benefits of therapy increase with time, and clients often engage in therapy for a period of some years. That being said, it is possible to benefit from therapy over a number of months. It really depends on each person and what they are looking for.
Will you give me advice as my therapist?
I aim to guide and support you in finding your own answers. This can feel strange at first, but ultimately being supported to find our way ourselves allows for longer-lasting and deeper change.
What can psychotherapy help with?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from psychotherapy. Having a safe, supportive space to reflect on ourselves and our lives can allow us to develop and grow even when things generally feel good.
When we feel lost or stuck, psychotherapy can offer a turning point to help us get back on track.
Therapy can also offer support in dealing with intense emotions, longstanding patterns of behaviour or beliefs and relationship difficulties or challenging life circumstances.
My areas of interest and experience include anxiety, social anxiety, depression, transitions, managing emotions, family issues, feeling stuck or lost, sexuality, identity, gender identity, confidence/insecurity, self-care, personal empowerment, anger, stress, childhood experiences, trauma, relationship problems, assertiveness, grief and loss.
Can I get receipts for my insurance?
I can provide receipts for sessions on request. These will be sent by email either after each session or at the end of each month.
It is up to each client to confirm with their insurance provider whether their policy will cover the therapy sessions. I am a fully accredited member of IACP, and so often, it is possible for clients to receive some cover for the therapy provided.
I am 17 (or younger) and looking for therapy.
I am qualified to work with adults, and so I only work with clients who are 18+
